This temple is on the sea shore facing Bay of Bengal Maha Vishnu and Maha Lakshmi are giving darshan as Bride and Groom. It is in the ashtanga Vimana Style and has three floors. The three forms of Lord Vishnu – Standing,Sitting and Reclining –are depicted in each floor. In the ground floor Mahavishnu and Mahalakshmi are in the standing posture. In the four corners of each of the other two tires are the shrines for the Eight Lakshmis.

Sub History

This temple was built on special request of Kanchi Shri Chandra Sekhara Swami, also known as Periya Periava. Following sculptures are seen on the temple Gopuram: 1. churning of ocean as in Bhagavatha Puran 2. Mahalakshmi wedding , where mahalakshmi is garlanding Vishnu and surrounded by Brahma, Shiva, Indra, Surya, Chandra, Narada, Agni, Vayu, Rishis etc 3. Vaikuntam
